Well, that’s just what I’m pining for, isn’t it? Some neanderthal to come along and list this blog in a directory with keywords like that. Of course, whenever anybody does a search online for “naked butt,” I’m going to want them to come here!

Oy.

Lord, I’m tired!

I’ve been quiet. I’m going to stay quiet for a few more days. Younglings are due to emerge from school in staggered fashion, with David finishing his school year today, Gina finishing with regular classes on Tuesday (but with a few Regents exams to take), and Ricky doing that end-of-school-year-goofing-off stuff they do until the 22nd.

I’m still fighting with the schools about Kimmie, of course. They don’t know what to do with her and what they want to do with her has nothing to do with what she actually needs — mostly because they have no clue as to what she does need.

I know what she needs … but I have to prove it. That’s because schools don’t seem to think parents know what they’re talking about. After all, they’re the professionals. I’m just a lousy parent.

Anyway, I didn’t come in here to whine. I wanted to let you know that there’s a slight possibility that this site will go dark for a minute or three. I’m in the process of a web server move and I’m unclear on whether or not I’ll get this place moved into its new digs and functional before the DNS propagates.

I’m moving a dozen sites at once. Wish me luck.

Kimmie wants to change the world.

Well, actually, all she really wants to do is nuke the NY State Department of Health. Not that I blame her.

She was due to start back to school today until they remembered a new rule. I have to produce proof that she has either had the chicken pox or been vaccinated against it.

Now, here’s the thing: she has had the chicken pox but, since I didn’t take her to the doctor for that (who takes their kid to the doctor for the chicken pox, for crissakes?), I couldn’t proove it.

State officials won’t take my word for it, seeing as how I’m just a parent.

So, in order for the administration to let Kimmie go back to school, I had to take her to the doctor to get her immunized against a disease she’s already had.

And they wonder why health care costs are skyrocketing! Oy.
