Merry Christmas, darling

By Me | December 25, 2007

In my current mood, I’m not so sure I have any darlings. We’ll see if I feel any better in about ten minutes, when I discover whether or not my dough has risen.

So, it’s around 10 a.m. and none of my children has seen fit to grace us with their presence yet. That’s what happens when they know they needn’t expect any gifts from their perpetually broke parents.

As if often the case on this day of the year, I’m feeling sorry for myself. I have no doubt I’ll feel better, thanks to the influence of a couple of glasses of wine and the prospect of killing things during our annual ritual Christmas night multi-player round of Diablo.

So, I’m going to go somewhere else and whine. Hope your holidays are shaping up into the stuff they make movies about.

Hey there, old friend. Happy holidays!!!! Remember what the Grinch learned — holidays aren’t about presents and all that crap, it’s about family and friends and feeling good about your blessings. Yes, I know, I’m the last person in the world you’d expect to be spewing sap around your comments, but, well, looks like you need some extra cheer.

Hope you had a great holiday, and an even better new year.

    XO

Hey, Faif! Happy holidays back at ya! Now that the dreaded day is over with, I’m feeling much better and looking forward to the new year.

Hope married life (and the rest of your life) is treating you well. Nice to know some of the old crew cruises through here occasionally …
