Life in the fast lane

Derek, Kimmie and I took a very nice walk this evening. We went around the block. It took about an hour.
(”Around the block” means around the corner to Route 7, up 7 to Route 8, and down 8 to River Street. It’s a long block but it’s still just a block.)
We’d just rounded the corner and started walking up Route 8. Kimmie had been quiet for a couple of minutes but, just then, she abruptly re-joined the conversation.
What she said was this: “Sometimes, you find underwear in the weirdest places.”
