Dawn Is Me

Okay, I promised I’d post pictures of Gina from her junior prom night. They’re not the best because they were taken with one of those disposable cameras, but you can learn a lot about my daughter’s personality from them.

So, let us embark on a photo essay. Observe.

Here she is before the prom, looking lovely and well-made up and just a tiny bit nervous.

Once she got home, though, she let her hair down — literally and figuratively.

I’ve often thought that if Gina were a tad less inhibited and more willing to just be herself at school (like she is at home), her peers — and especially the guys — would find her much more interesting.

Of course, Dad was delerious with relief that she was safe at home. In his hysteria, he was a little more than normally obnoxious.

Gina remained relatively calm, simply anihilating him with a spirit bomb (you have to watch Dragonball regularly to know what one of those are. I did mention that Gina is the most powerful creature in the universe, didn’t I?).

Following which, she was able to cheerfully celebrate a job well done.

Sassy, smart, fun, beautiful — and really rather sweet … that’s Gina.

Yeah, I’m bragging.
