See Gina sing. Sing, Gina, sing.
Yes, that’s right. Gina had a solo gig this morning as the opening act (singing The Star-Spangled Banner) for the Sidney Warriors football team before their semi-final match against Whitman. She was a big hit, too. For the rest of the game, every time she went anywhere in the stadium, her progress was slowed down by all the people who stopped her to tell her how beautifully she sang.
Oh, and, by the way, the Warriors won.
I’m not used to high school football, so I was suprised at what a good game it was. And it wasn’t one of those blowouts that Sidney’s been doing during the regular season (60-0, 58-7, etc.), they had to work for that win. The final score was 28-22. They definitely deserved it.
So, now, they go on to the NY State Class B finals. GO WARRIORS!
And go, Gina! Every day, you make us more proud.
