Somewhere, a place for us

Have you been pining away out there in Blog land since September, waiting for another episode of your favorite soap opera? (What’s wrong with her? It’s October, already!)
Well, wait no more. Tonight, we have another exciting episode of everybody’s favorite: As the Teen Turns.
When last we left our Turning Teens, Gina and Brian were dating, Kasedy and Tracy were courting trouble, Andy was poised to start being stupid again, and Steve was MIA.
Steve is still MIA, at least as far as this writer is concerned. I don’t know if I should consider this as ego fodder or if I should cry myself to sleep at night, but I seem to have single-handedly chased Steve out of the blogosphere.
Or maybe it wasn’t just me. For angstfully Turning Teens, putting yourself out there like you do when you’re blogging can be a hazardous thing to do.
Gina and Brian are no longer an item. I think that lasted for about a week. Now both are swinging and single again, although it’s unclear how happy they are about it. Brian is preoccupied: he’s cold and he broke his hand again, not necessarily in that order.
As for Gina, she says, “Who needs love? I’ve got soccer!”
She’s also got Andy, whether she wants him or not. Andy seems to be competing for the drama queen award –and gender be damned! I guess he wants to see what happens when Gina really gets pissed off. Other than that, he’s joined the working world with a gig at the local supermarket and I’ve never seen anybody who looked cuter in a blue apron.
Not much in the way of high drama at this point but, after all, it’s only October. Things are simmering, as they sometimes do. We may yet get an explosion of some kind before the year is out.
So, stay tuned … for the next exciting episode of As the Teen Turns!
